Thistalk about early JTS's being bad and post '04 being great is a bit of BS too. Theres some who drive '02 models and never had too many problems, while theres some '06 models like the one my Alfa mechanic had in his workshop for ages with constant problems with O2 sensors, bad wireing, failed cats, carbonated valves and so on OnSaturday work was completed and car started and ran with no problems other than it needed a jump start. i went for a run on Saturday evening & it cut out & wouldn't re-start got the Green Flag recovery out & he managed to re-start it but only by spraying ethanol (brake cleaner) into the air intake. alfa-romeo-gt-jts-wont-start.html# P0351- Coil 1 Fault status: No signal. Ive collected a couple of 147 manual versions with stiff gear linkage and discovered through these threads that the plastic bushes by the linkage on the gearbox end can need replacing fixing the problem, takes about an hour costing peanuts which is what ive done to good effect.
